The annual Raleigh 4th of July Celebration will be hosted at Dorothea Dix Park this year and will feature lots of fireworks, food trucks, live music, games, and activities for all ages.
Located at one of the best parks in Raleigh, the gates will open at 6 PM, and activities will begin promptly, leading up to the big fireworks display at 9:30 PM. Even though parking will not be available at Dix Park for the event, plenty of free parking will be available in Downtown Raleigh, and there will be a free shuttle to take guests from Moore Square Park to the event and back.
Free parking is available in Downtown Raleigh at the Moore Square Parking Deck, the Red Hat/City Center Parking Deck, and the NC State University Centennial Campus.
Make sure to arrive hungry since 40 food trucks will be open throughout the event. There will even be a family activity zone with water slides, a foam party pit, and a scavenger hunt.
This is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend. Make sure to bring a blanket or chairs, water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted.
The Fuquay-Varina Independence Day Celebration will occur on July 1st at South Park, which is a 25-acre park off of South Main Street in Fuquay-Varina. The gates will open at 6 PM to the public, and the fireworks show will start around 9:15 PM.
This event is free and open to the public. Up to 19 food trucks will be available, serving various foods and live music performed by local artists. The Splash Pad will be open from 6 to 8:30 PM, and normal Splash Pad fees will apply. Residents of Fuquay-Varina should bring their Splash Pad pass, and there is a $2 per person fee for non-residents.
Visitors should bring a blanket or a chair to be comfortable during the event. Alcohol is not permitted, and animals should be kept at home. Event parking will be available throughout Downtown Fuquay-Varina and at 308 Jones Road.
The Town of Wendell Fireworks Show will occur on July 2nd at Wendell Community Park and will be an evening full of fun and fireworks. This family-friendly event will feature multiple food trucks and live music.
The park will open at 6 PM, and the fireworks show will begin at 9 PM once the sun goes down. There will be limited parking for the event inside the park, so plan to park in Downtown Wendell, where free shuttle buses will run from the park to the lot at 108 E Fourth Street.
