Every Stonewater home has a Wake Forest 27587 mailing address, but Wake County property records list the neighborhood as part of the Town of Rolesville. Stonewater sits off Forestville Road between Rogers Road and Burlington Mills Road, with two entrances on Yardley Drive.
As of late October 2026, Wake County lists about 220 parcels on Stonewater's streets, with most homes built from 2016 to 2023. Lots run about a third to a half acre, and nearly every home is custom-built, which is why Stonewater shows up in our search for luxury homes in Wake Forest.
For town services and taxes, it is Rolesville. County parcel data for Yardley Drive, Pelzer Drive, Teague Street, and the other Stonewater streets shows Rolesville as both the town and the planning jurisdiction. Many MLS sheets agree, listing Rolesville in the city limits field.
That means a pool, fence or addition goes through Rolesville Planning, not Wake Forest. It also means Rolesville handles trash pickup and police patrol.
I pull the parcel record on Wake County Real Estate Search for each Stonewater home we tour. The town listed there is the one on the tax bill, whatever the mailing address says.
Rolesville's 2026-27 budget, approved May 5, 2026, kept the town rate at $0.40 per $100. Wake Forest held its rate at $0.42. With Wake County's $0.5371 rate, a $1.1 million assessment comes to about $10,308 a year in Rolesville, or about $220 less than the same value in Wake Forest. Rolesville also bills a $315 yearly solid waste fee.
Stonewater used a select builder team instead of one production builder. Braswell Custom Homes built many of the houses, including a 2019 Parade of Homes Gold winner on Lot 132. Listing sheets also name Homestead Building Company, Cambridge Classic Homes, ICG Homes, Exeter, and Stellar Blu. Three-car garages and screened porches show up often, but floor plans rarely repeat.
The Stonewater HOA of Rolesville is managed by PPM, and 2026 listing sheets show dues of about $100 to $110 a month. Those same sheets list a pool, clubhouse, fitness room, and playground, plus grounds care for the common areas.
Heritage is the next neighborhood to the north, so it makes an easy comparison. I compared a Stonewater custom home with a Heritage resale on lot size, garage bays, and total yearly cost, including each town's tax rate. Our best neighborhoods in Wake Forest guide covers seven more options.
